This stone has a special meaning for me as I am a writer, using imagination and creativity to tell the stories brewing in my mind, to manifest a novel ready for my readers. I have recently acquired a natural Citrine, and have already noticed the subtle changes in my life as my intentions are relayed through my connection to this beautiful quartz family stone.
Activation of ones creative source is sometimes difficult, as we have buried it deep in the trials and tribulations of day to day life. But if one is aware of the possibilities, and set ones intention on motivating the creativity burning inside, use of external resources such as this stone, can be just what is needed to get things moving.
Here I speak of the Natural Citrine, not the common Citrine which is what you will find on the market more frequently. Natural Citrine is a pale yellow triagonal crystal, its color derived from its iron content. The more vibrant shades of common Citrine in yellow and orange shades are heat treated Amethyst crystals. Although they are both called Citrine, they are truly different stones with a variety similar, and dissimilar aspects.
The Citrine is known to assist in increases clarity of thought, enhancing creativity and magnifying the power of will and manifestation. Its ability to awaken the powers of creative imagination has been known for centuries, dating back as far as 300 B.C. Truth be known, imagination is really more important than knowledge. Knowledge becomes stagnant, repeating the facts over and over. Where imagination takes the knowledge we have to create something new, turning what has been into possibilities of what can be.
Stimulating the 1st (Root), 2nd (Sexual/Creative), and 3rd (Solar Plexus) chakras, the Citrine strengthens our power of will and persistence to do what is needed to manifest what we want into existence. With this stimulation, the vibration of this stone initiates our creative energy and will, increasing our ability to bring energy into form. In purifying the manifestation channel, the Citrine helps us to bring Divine energy into form through intention and action. If one’s intentions are pure, loving, and of peace, the stone will help to manifest what is truly beautiful.
The natural Citrine also assists one to overcome difficult times by helping to maintain the effort to get through the adversity one faces, and to take decisive action in resolving the situation. It is also known to support the endocrine system and encourage proper metabolism in the physical body.
